Changes at Miniapples 2008
The number of Mac users are growing by leaps and bounds. We want
Miniapples to remain a vibrant and energized organization. Consequently
we are revamping membership, lowering dues to $15 per year, reorganizing
our structure, and looking for input and new members. If you are into Macintosh
Computers and live in the Minneapolis- St. Paul metro or surrounding area,
what would you like to see Miniapples offer? If you are familiar with the
organization through association or membership how can we improve? As a
volunteer organization, keep in mind that volunteers make the organization
go. Care to volunteer some time? Head over to the Miniapples
Forum, register as a Guest and post your thoughts or send an email
to Miniapples with
your suggestions. Thanks!

Part II- Miniapples iCal Calendar
To reduce confusion we have decided to use the iCal calendar as our sole
source of meeting info. The left side of this main page will continue
to list generic meeting info, but specific meeting info will only be displayed
in the Miniapples iCal calendar.
- See
the browser version of the calendar- Click the iCal
icon (left side of this page) to see a browser version of
the Miniapples calendar. If you click on an event in the
browser based calendar, specific meeting info will appear.
- Getting
a monthly view in the browser-based calendar- Click
the Preferences Button (lower left side of the page), select
monthly view and save.
- Subscribing
to the Miniapples iCal Calendar- For all those using
MacOSX, click on the Subscribe Button (lower left side of
browser calendar page) which will automatically launch iCal,
the MacOS's built in calendar and subscribe you to the calendar
which can then be viewed in iCal.

Part III- Newsletter
The monthly printed newsletter is going away. Mailing expenses
are increasing and frankly we've had a tough time coming up with
submissions. The newsletter
will be reborn as an electronic based periodical that will appear
when we have news and articles worthy of sharing without our
members. Emphasis is
on volunteers. As a volunteer organization better results will
be achieved with active members contributing. If you are a member
it is more important
now that we have your preferred email address for notifications.
Members, please send your email address to Miniapples@mac.com.
Stay tuned for more
info on the Miniapples Newsletter.
