Who We Are
We are mini'app'les, a nonprofit computer user/education group serving users
of Apple Computer products in Minnesota since 1979.
Why Apple?
From a humble beginning in the 1970's, Apple Computer continues to lead a revolution
in personal computing. Apple's innovation and creativity are unmatched by any
other company. And it's the only company in history to create both computer
hardware and Operating System software and survive. Why? Because the Mac Operating
System has no equal for intuitive design and ease of use. Mac-users typically
view their computers with affection and for good reason.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to promote the use, education, and advocacy of Apple Computers
and related products. Our members constitute a large knowledge base of Macintosh
and general computer knowledge. As part of our education mandate, by means
of Special Interest Groups, the Bulletin Board, and other venues, members are
happy to share their knowledge, experience, and tips with novices and experienced
Mac-users alike.
Mini'app'les is independent of Apple Computer. We are a Minnesota nonprofit corporation
where each member gets one vote. Governed by a Board of Directors and
a score of volunteers, we are a social group sponsering SIG meetings (Special
Interest Groups) on a variety of Mac related topics. The SIGs meet monthly,
usually followed by congregating at a restaurant for coffee and dessert, which
is known by some as "the
Pie SIG".
We're always looking for new members and volunteers. Volunteering is a great
way to make friends and learn new skills while helping accomplish something and
contributing to the group. We have many volunteer opportunities to suit every
person's time, skill and talents.
