Hot News:
- MacBook
Pro “The best notebook screen in the world”
Belongs to the 17-in MacBook Pro, proclaims Ryan Faas (computerworld.com). “The
brightness and color brilliance is out of this world,” he
says. What’s more, the system “delivers all of
the processing power, RAM options and storage capacity of an
iMac — along with approximately the same screen real
estate,” making it “a desktop replacement in virtually
every sense of the word.” Filed under: Mac. Read more:

- Apple
introduces MacBook Air—the
world’s thinnest notebook
Apple today introduced the world’s thinnest notebook:
MacBook Air. It measures an unprecedented 0.16 inches at
its thinnest point while its
maximum height of 0.76 inches is less than the thinnest point on competing
notebooks. In addition to a stunning 13.3-inch LED-backlit widescreen
display, MacBook Air offers a full-size and backlit keyboard,
a built-in iSight
video camera for video conferencing, and a spacious trackpad with multi-touch
gesture
support, letting users pinch, rotate and swipe. The new notebook is powered
by a 1.6 GHz or 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4MB L2 cache,
and it includes as standard features 2GB of memory, an
80GB 1.8-inch hard drive,
and the latest 802.11n Wi-Fi technology and Bluetooth 2.1. Starting at
just $1,799, MacBook Air begins shipping in two weeks. [Jan 15, 2008]

World.com:
The Mac in business: it's easier than you think (4/21/08)
More users are demanding Macs in the enterprise.
Thanks to key computing shifts, supporting their appetite for
Apple is now a straightforward option for IT. Once confined
to marketing departments and media companies, the Mac is spilling
over into a wider array of business environments, thanks to
the confluence of a number of computing trends, not the least
among them a rising tide of end-user affinity for the Apple
experience. Read more at InfoWorld.com.
